Optimist Year October 1 to September 30

 

POINTS Available ACTIVITY / ACHIEVEMENT / RECOGNITION
1.0 MEMBERSHIP (verified by District Membership Chair)
1.1 100 Points for each member added to the club in the current Optimist Year and the Club Roster Adjustment received by Optimist International on or before September 30,  of the current Optimist Year
1.2 250 Points for achieving net +2 by September 30  and the Club Roster Adjustment received by Optimist International on or before September 30 of the current Optimist Year.
1.3 500 Points for achieving Net +5 by September 30 and the Club Roster Adjustment received by Optimist International on or before September 30 of the current Optimist Year.
1.4 1500 Points to a club that achieves a Net + 15 by September 30 and the Club Roster Adjustment received by Optimist International on or before September 30 of the current Optimist Year.
2.0 NEW CLUB BUILDING (verified by District New Club Building Chair)
2.1 2000 Points to the sponsoring club(s) for the first new club officially organized in the District and the Follow-Up Program Completed.
2.2 1500 Points to the sponsoring club(s) for each new club officially organized (other than the 1st new club) by December 31 of the current Optimist Year and the Follow-Up Program completed.
2.3 1000 Points to the sponsoring club(s) for each new club officially organized after December 31 but before September 30 of the current Optimist Year and the Follow-Up Program completed.
3.0 JOOI / OPTIMIST YOUTH CLUB (verified by J.O.O.I. Chair)
3.1 1000 Bonus Points to the sponsoring club(s) for the first new club officially organized in the District.
3.2 500 Points to the sponsoring club(s) for each new club (other than the 1st new club) officially organized in the District.
4.0 CLUB REPORTS/CLUB ACTIVITIES (Communications with Optimist International, District, Club and Community
4.1 450 Officer-Elect Report submitted electronically to Optimist International by May 20 of the current Optimist Year
4.2 200 Points to each club that has completed and submitted their Annual Club Planning Conference Report to their Lieutenant Governor on or before the 1st Quarter Board
4.3 50 Points for each club newsletter submitted to District Communications/Newsletter Chair
4.4 300 Points for submitting a club scrapbook to the District Club Activities at the District Convention in August.
4.5 100 Points for submitting each C.P.A. (Community Projects Award) book to the District Club Activities Chair or District Governor by September 30 of the current Optimist Year.
4.6 50 Points for submitting information requested by District Historian.
4.7 200 Points for club participating in the Essay Contest at the District Level.
4.8 200 Points for club participating in the Oratorical Contest at the Zone, Regional or District Level.
4.9 150 Points for club participating in the Spelling Contest at the Zone or District Level.
4.10 100 Points to each club that is represented by Club President or Designate at a District or Zone meeting. 25 bonus points for each additional Club member attending the District or Zone Meeting.
4.11 500 Points to each club who hosts a NOW meeting with a minimum of five (5) guests in attendance.
4.12 250 Points for each guest that joins the club within 60 days of attending a NOW meeting.
4.13 100 Points for club hosting an event involving a representative from local law enforcement e.g. bikerodeo, Respect for Law, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance  Education), etc.
4.14 250 Points to a club for each new member enrolled in the Personal Growth & Involvement (P.G.I.) who attains a minimum of Level 1.
4.15 100 Points to a club holding a new event for our kids in the current Optimist Year. To be verified by the Club’s Lt. Governor.
4.16 500 Points to each club participating in an Inter-Club event. The event may be a social event or a joint project fundraising or for kids or other community events. To be verified by the Club’s Lt. Governor.
25 bonus points for each additional Club member attending the event.
4.17 100 Points to a club who sponsors 1 child in his/her first tournament in the Junior Golf Program.
Bonus: 10 points for every additional child sponsored.
418 250 Points to a club which publicizes their activities and events using any media source. A copy of the advertisement  or web link to be forwarded to the A&A Chair.
5.0 CANADIAN CHILDREN’S  OPTIMIST FOUNDATION (C.C.O.F.)/CHILDHOOD CANCER CAMPAIGN(C.C.C.)
5.1 150 Points for appointing a club Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation Representative and submitting his/her name to Optimist International and District Foundation Chair Past by December 1 of the current Optimist Year
5.2 100 Points for appointing a club Childhood Cancer Campaign Representative and submitting his/her name to Optimist International and District Campaign Chair by December 1 of the current Optimist Year.
5.3 300 Points for each club participating in the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation Fundraising event.
5.4 100 Points for each club Team sponsoring a hole at the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation Golf Tournament.
5.5 50 Points for every $100 donation by a Club to the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation. To be verified by the District CCOF Chair.

6.0 FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

 Points awarded to each club paying OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL DUES by the following dates:
6.1 50 -50 if late. First Quarter by December 31 of the current Optimist Year.
6.2 50 -50 if late. Second Quarter by March 31 of the current Optimist Year.
6.3 50 -50 if late. Third Quarter by June 30 of the current Optimist Year.
6.4 50 250 if late. Fourth Quarter by September 30 of the current Optimist Year.
Points awarded to each club paying DISTRICT DUES by the following dates:
6.5 50 First Half by December 31 of the current Optimist Year
6.6 50 Second Half by June 30 of the current Optimist Year

Special awards will be given throughout the year to Members, Clubs and Lt. Governors who demonstrate that they are working  “Together for the Kids”.
